MAC Mineralize SatinFinish Foundation SPF 15

I got this Sample from MAC when I purchased the Studio fix fluid. This is the shade NC 30 Which is too light for me I'm an NC 37. But it was there in my makeup bag so I decided to put it on.

Mac says: Its a fluid foundation that blends the natural light reflecting properties of micro minerals with a smooth satin finish. Provides low to medium buildable coverage with a skin flattering slightly luminous look.

A couple things this foundation doesn't smell as bad as the studio fix fluid for anyone that noticed. Like many foundations this has an SPF of 15. It's a pet peeve for me because it doesn't serve a purpose, to benefit from this SPF you would have to apply about 6 times what you normally would and you shouldn't count this as part of your daily sun protection.

This foundation has a really creamy feel it blends in nicely into the skin. The thing that bugs me is the shimmer I just don't think that putting shimmer into foundation is a good idea. I understand that it is supposed to give a radiant glow but shimmer should not be all over the face, it should be strategically placed and the shimmer particles are a bit too obvious I don't think its a good idea for if you're getting your photo taken.

The other thing is the coverage there's a downside to everything right, this really bugs me because it's just not working for me at all. I have many blemishes and acne scars and this really covers nothing it just makes it worse. But if you have great skin you should give it a try especially for summer. I don't think the coverage is buildable me it's less than a tinted moisturizer.
So in conclusion, if you have good skin and you don't mind some shimmer give it a go!
