Fashion books (part 1)

Like the title suggest today's post will be about books that I think every fashionista should have on her bookshelf. I will review 5 books daily. I am also awaiting the delivery of my tripod so I can post some of my looks. Can't wait!

FASHION A TO Z: AN ILLUSTRATED DICTIONARY by Alex Newman & Zakee Shariff

Every person that is interested in fashion should know the basic terminology. You wouldn't want to be caught not knowing what a ballerina neckline is. This book is perfect for that. The descriptions are very clear. The terms are also organized into categories, which is very helpful if you are looking for a certain thing and all you know is that for example it is a type of a coat.

THE HERMES SCARF: HISTORY & MYSTIQUE by Nadine Coleno

A very good introduction to the Hermes Scarves. It includes a brief history and how the Hermes Scarfs are developed. However it focuses more on the modern designs rather than giving an overview of both moder and older designs. This book is a must for a dedicated Hermes Scarf collector.

EMILIO PUCCI by Vanessa Friedman

This book is a work of art in itself! Only 10.000 were made, and each one comes covered in Pucci fabric. The book is full of high quality photos of the Pucci archives, as well as things and places that inspired Pucci.

FASHION NOW: v. 2 by Terry Jones & Susie Rushton

'Fashion now 2' was put together by people that are behind I-D magazine. It gives an overview of how does the fashion world looks like and what are each designer's drives. What's good about this book is that it not only includes big designers but also those who where in the business for only couple of years.

JACQUES HELLEU & CHANEL by Jacques Helleu

All I have to say is: AMAZING!
