Today I went to the beach for the second time this summer to try and even-out my sunburn/random white patches/fake tan. Luckily I remembered to put on SPF all over and didn't get burnt at all this time. Hoorah!

I also did some thrift shopping with my friend Shafina. She is going away to India for a year and I'm going to miss her! When we were parking her car we pulled up right behind a Pontiac PARISIENNE. I have never heard of this car before! But I am so obsessed with anything Paris-related, I wish it was mine! I had to settle for a picture in front of it, which made me happy :)

Today I went to the hospital with my mom to visit my Grandma (nothing serious, she's doing well and hopefully will be home soon) and went to Capilano Mall to grab some stuff from Wal-Mart. I bought a giant mens button-down shirt for $8, so I'm hoping to turn it into a asymmetrical shirt- let's see what happens...

I absolutely love the dress that I wore today! The cut is amazing and it totally shows off my waist (at least that's what my mother says). The print is really unusual too- its got pink and purple florals as well as CLOCKS. So weird!

I've been into button down shirts for awhile now- I love mixing menswear pieces into your wardrobe and making them feminine; but this new sheer blouse / asymmetrical blouse / slouchy blouse (or all 3 at once) trend is totally making my jaw drop. I love this look so much, I feel like these blouses are such great pieces to dress up any outfit yet keep it sexy and down to earth. And did I mention sexy?

schooooool's out for summah

it's inevitable, whenever the august 'back to school' issues of magazines come out, i start to plan my fall wardrobe. it's the middle of summer yet i can't help thinking about sweaters and boots! i'm even more gung-ho since i'm going back to school (part time) for the first time in 2 years. i always get excited about buying a new bookbag and notebooks and pens and pencils (that excitement goes away once the actual studying starts...).

so i was super pumped to see this 'school house rock' spread in the august issue of Teen Vogue. I love rockabilly style editorials so this spread is a dream!

summer summer summertime

Summer is FINALLY here in Vancouver. My first day at the beach last week, I got a sunburn. How fantastic. Gotta remember more sunscreen next time! Usually I wear tons but after my first dip in the ocean I forgot to reapply...

Today I took a walk down main street, checked out some vintage shops and got some stuff at the drug store. Here's what I wore... sorry for the fuzzy pics!
